Wildflowers can be seen all year round in the South West but they are at their best in the months of August through to November.

During these months you will see a kaleidoscope of colour. The Stirling Ranges offer a wide range of wildflowers, some not seen anywhere else. Many species including eucalypts, orchids and banksias will be flowering during these months.

A landscape of magnificent wildflower beauty can be found further east in the Esperance area. This area is blessed with numerous National Parks containing abundant displays of wildflowers during the months of July through to December. The annual wildflower display shows over 700 different species of plants. This is a showcase not to be missed. The Esperance Wildflower Festival is held annually, contact the Esperance Tourist Bureau (08) 9071 2330 for more information.

The areas of Walpole and Denmark have a late wildflower season. The months of September to November is the best time for viewing. Walk trails and local National Parks are the best place to see wildflowers. A plant that is unique to the area the Albany pitcher plant can be found here. William Bay and West Cape Howe are only just two of the places you can see a wide range of wildflowers.

The Manjimup District with its forests of jarrah and karri means a wide range of wildflowers. Almost all year round there will be something of flower. The Spring Flower Show and the Annual Garden Walks, organised by the Warren Arts and Garden Society is held annually. Contact the Manjimup Tourist Bureau (08)9771 1831 for more details.
